U.S. Astronaut Scott Kelly returned to Earth earlier this month, from a year-long command of the International Space Station. Landing in Kazakhstan, he gave two thumbs up as he was pulled from the Soyuz spacecraft. Kelly is part of ongoing research by NASA, studying the effects of long-term space travel for hopes of a future manned-mission to Mars.
